Your Wedding Breakfast   Our Oak Panelled Restaurant is the ideal venue for your Wedding Breakfast. We can accommodate up to 70 people for an informal buffet or up to 55 people for a sit down meal.   Our Wedding Package is priced at £40.00 per person. This price is for a minimum of 40 guests, unless agreed in writing beforehand.   The cost of the reception includes:   'The Red Carpet' 3 Course Wedding Breakfast Coffee Cash Bar Facility Silver Cake Stand and Knife Individual Menus and Place Cards     Wedding Etiquette   A Wedding Reception has many traditions, most of which are adhered to today. The Bedford Arms can make your day as formal or relaxed as you wish. Below is a brief example of some traditional formalities.   The Line-up At the reception, the usual line-up waiting to greet the guests is as follows: the bride's parents followed by the bridegroom's parents, then the bride and groom and lastly the best man. The line-up ensures both families have an opportunity to speak to all the guests, but the conversation should be kept to a polite minimum.     Toasts and Speeches These would normally take place at the end of the meal, along with the Wedding Cake. The following is the usual order of proceedings: Toast to "The Bride and Groom", by the bride's father or close relative. Toast to "The Bridesmaids" by the bridegroom, following a response to the first speech. The best man then responds to the groom's speech, also reading the telegrams to the guests.     Extras to Consider   Flowers You will need to consider floral arrangements for your wedding. We are happy to guide you through what you may need. We can then put you in touch with our local florist, alternatively you might like to provide your own flowers Photographers We are happy to be put you in touch with our recommended photographers Wedding Cake The Bedford Arms can provide you with a list of local or specialist bakers       Evening Reception After your lunch, you have the option of being able to have an evening reception. This is a time to let your hair down!
